Steen Bille Jørgensen (Aarhus University, Denmark) elaborates on how the project challenged the canon by extending the coverage of the academic approach to realism with a focus on the second volume: „Pathways through realism” (John Benjamins, 2022) edited by Svend Erik Larsen, Margaret R. Higonnet and Steen Bille Jørgensen.
